Editing
Clear writing. Credible research. Stronger voice.
I help scholars, practitioners, and organizations sharpen their writing so the work is clear, rigorous, and ready for its audience. As Editor-in-Chief of the International Journal of Listening, author of two books, and a researcher with more than 70 peer-reviewed publications, I know what editors, reviewers, and readers look for, and I bring that perspective to every project.
My approach is collaborative and respectful of your voice. I don’t impose a style or rewrite your ideas. I strengthen the structure, tighten the prose, and flag places where the argument, evidence, or audience needs more attention. Margin comments explain the reasoning behind my edits so you can see what changed and why, and you leave the process a stronger writer as well as with a stronger draft.
Whether you’re preparing a manuscript for submission, responding to reviewers, finalizing a dissertation, or turning technical findings into a report your stakeholders will read, I can help you get there. Editing is available in English. I welcome multilingual writers, including deaf writers whose primary language is American Sign Language (ASL), and I’m happy to consult in either English or ASL.
